About The Palomar

The Palomar opened in May 2014 to great critical reception and fast became one of the most talked about and exciting restaurants in London. Familiar Middle Eastern staples are re-invented and re-imagined in the lively spot on Rupert Street, run and owned by siblings Zoë and Layo Paskin.

The menu is Middle Eastern inspired, featuring fresh breads, small plates and dishes cooked over fire. Dishes are served as small plates designed for sharing, such as kubaneh with carrot tahini and harissa, lamb shawarma croquette, and Ras el Hanout lamb cutlets.

The kitchen is headed up by Head Chef, Dan Murray, who keeps the menu evolving by blending a modern approach to cooking with traditional techniques. Born and raised in Scotland, he’s a true advocate for all things seasonal and sustainable and brings over a decade of culinary experience behind our stoves, having worked alongside Yotam Ottolenghi.

The space has been designed around a zinc kitchen bar that leads through to an intimate dining room. The Palomar has won numerous accolades, including the OFM ‘Best Restaurant’ Award, Tatler ‘Restaurant of the Year’ Award, and the GQ ‘Best Restaurant’ Award, and has held a Michelin Bib Gourmand since 2014.
